Crystal Lake Weed Watchers!

Happy Middle of Summer!

I just wanted to take a moment to recognize a very important group of volunteers who are working to keep our lake free of invasive species... our Weed Watchers.  This group of individuals are dedicating their time to check a section of our lake twice a month for any weeds which are not "native" to this beautiful body of water.  Thank you so much for taking time out of your busy schedules to volunteer to do this important work.  Our Weed Watchers include:

Keith Anderson          Kristi Fenner

Nancy Gerlack           Glynn Green

Shirley Green             Joe Morency

Liz Gross                    Ed Morris

Megan Morris             Alison Paglia

Greg Paglia                Ed Rippe

Heidi Sidley                Heather Cunningham

Recently Ed Rippe, our Weed Watcher Warden, hosted a training session for some Weed Watcher volunteers with our partners at NH DES.  Tom Claus generously captained his party barge on the 90 minute training session

Also, a big thank you to several people who have been Weed Watchers for many years, but recent passed the torch:

Dennis Durante          Pat Durante

Nicholas Rowe           Raymond Stanford

Sue Stanford              Tina Stearns

Looking for a different opportunity to volunteer??  Bill Griffin, our Lake Host Hero, still has open slots for volunteer Lake Hosts.  Training will be provided and shifts can be covered by a team or split in two.  Just raise your hand and we can make it happen.  Thank you for your consideration.

Not able to volunteer, but you feel like you'd like to give something back in another way?  Feel free to check out the "donate button" on our website.  We are still trying to raise funds for some new water monitoring equipment as well as develop a more robust kittie for a rainy day.

Thank you to everything everyone is doing to protect our lake for today and generations to come!  We are all blessed to share this beautiful place.

See you out there!

Dan
